GBU18 Ice Hockey Win World Championships!
Since we’ve been supporting Mai, her growth in the sport has been unprecedented and a joy to watch, while it has also coincided with a resurgence of the GBU18 Women’s Ice Hockey team and fortunes overall and this is no more evident than in their recent performance in Latvia last month.
Winning all of their five games, the GB team came away with gold as well as promotion to the Under-18 Women’s Division I World Championship!
Mai and her parents have said: “As you can imagine, we are beside ourselves with pride. To see the team line up on the ice to collect their gold medal was emotional as they have all worked extremely hard to get to this moment. As we have said many times before, we couldn’t have done it without the Foundations support. Your help has been a big part of Mai’s development. It has enabled us to purchase and upgrade essential safety kit and Mai to access specific training that would have been out of our budget due to fees, travel and hotel costs.
We massively appreciate your support and look forward to attending and supporting the Foundation in anyway we can.”
