The Dylan Howells Foundation are proud to announce another addition to their stable of young athletes.
Matthew McKenna is without question one of the most exciting young talents in British Athletics today, currently ranked 2nd in the World U18 at 800m and 12th in 1500m. He has recently represented Great Britain at the European U18 Athletics Championships in Slovakia winning gold in the 800m. This astonishing achievement is made even more impressive by the fact that this is the first gold medal a male athlete from Surrey has ever won at these championships.
A local athlete, Matthew trains at Walton Athletic Club and has made incredible progress over the last two years, but with this progress come significant costs, whether for new equipment or travelling between multiple events throughout the long competitive season. The Dylan Howells Foundation is incredibly proud to support Matthew on this journey and help him continue to drive onwards and upwards towards future achievements on the track.
