Finn Morris, our DHF-supported junior sailor, has given us an update on his latest event. Here’s Finn’s writeup:
“This week my Dad and I came 3rd in the Firefly South Western Area Championships in Cornwall. A Firefly is a 2 person boat larger and faster than the single handed Optimist that I normally sail. The racing over three days was incredibly close. Going into the last race 5 boats out of the 27 could have won. We were lucky enough to come out well and received a prize for our efforts. I enjoy sailing with my Dad because it is fun and I learn from him as he is a very experienced sailor.
This weekend I am going to sail in an open meeting in Lymington in my Optimist. I hope to do as well as I did in the Firefly!
