As we get to the end of 2025, it’s great to see Mai making continued progress with her Ice Hockey. She has been working extremely hard, somehow managing to balance college and coursework whilst training four nights a week for her three teams. Mai is also now a volunteer level 1 ice hockey coach – coaching the under 10s and under 12s at Guildford junior ice hockey club on Tuesdays. She is really enjoying giving back and being a role model for the younger players whilst learning new coaching skills and obtaining qualifications.
Most excitingly she has been invited to attend the GB U18s selection camp in preparation for the World Championships which take place in Poland in January 2026. This means that December will be even busier than usual for her as she will need to attend two days camps in Sheffield and Nottingham while continuing to play for her three local teams! The Dylan Howells Foundation have been a small part of Mai’s journey for almost three years now and she continues to go from strength to strength. It was so great to hear firsthand how things have been progressing for her at the recent DHF golf day and we could not be more excited for the forthcoming World Championships! We will be cheering her on and will post further updates here following the event.
