Another great update from our figure skater Lillian:
This week we have some good news about our support for Lilian Musgrave who has moved up to senior level figure skating: the highest level to compete in. It is the start of the figure skating season and Lilian competed successfully this August at Sheffield in a qualifier event for the British National championship against 16 other girls. It was an amazing start because in her first ever senior competition she came first in the short programme and second in the Free, giving her an overall second place with only a score of .08 behind the winner.
As you may have known she had been skating on borrowed skates given hers were stolen. However, she now has new ones given the help from the Dylan Howells Foundation. Just before the August competition she had a weeklong assessment by the British Ice Skating Organisation. At the end of this she has been entered into several International Competitions to represent GB. So, her start to the season has provided evidence that with hard work and everyone’s support she should have a successful year ahead.
